A Lovely Day | Portland Oregon Wedding Photography »

A beautiful day, picture-perfect location, and a gorgeous couple in love. What more could you ask for?! We met Ciaara and Boyd up at The Vista House for this romantic engagement shoot just before sunset. Kate had a lovely time with them, running around the house and surrounding grounds to get these gorgeous shots. We are so happy for them and excited that they chose us to capture these moments of their love!

The Big Fake Wedding was an absolute hit and we are so thrilled to have been a part of this year! This unique bridal show was held at the gorgeous and urban space, Union/Pine. Local vendors came together to display their talents while brides and grooms browsed and chatted to potentially hire their own wedding team! What made this show different, is that an actual married couple renewed their vows in a wedding ceremony for everyone to witness. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, amazing desserts, and danced the night away to a real DJ! What a fun event to be a part of.

Check out the White Magazine blog post that our photos were featured on, as well as many other highlights from this magical evening below. The vendors shown are listed below! Enjoy!

Every year our team holds an annual workshop and styled shoot where we team up with wonderful local vendors to showcase everyone’s talents. This year was our best yet.

We decided to change it up a bit this year and incorporate some deep, dark tones into a style fit for a rockstar. We themed it “Let’s Rock the Night” and had our vendors run wild with their imaginations. Peachy Keen Coordination helped to curate a magnificent team that brought this idea to life, and we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout!

The setting for this day was held at the gorgeous Saint Irene’s. This venue boasts an urban/industrial feel mixed with elegant decor and crisp, clean lines. We adore this place! Our models were real Lovely Day Couple Audrey and Heath! Audrey wore a gown from The White Dress, and adorned her ensemble with a custom painted leather jacket by Letters & Dust. Her makeup and hair was done by the lovely Sarah from Contour Makeup, and wore jewelry from Mia Donna. Heath was decked out head-to-toe with a dapper outfit from The Black Tux. Both wore rings from Mia Donna and looked absolutely magical!

Forest & Field put together an astonishing floral installation unlike anything we’ve ever seen. They also did the bouquet, and an amazing ombre table runner using greenery and florals ranging from white, to green, to deep hues of purple and burgundy. It was breathtakingly beautiful! The stationary and name cards were done by none-other than Seeds of Clay. The hand-lettered calligraphy and watercolored tones looked incredible set against their use of copper detailing. And because no wedding is complete without a cake, we had the coolest square semi-naked cake from the wonderful Dream Cakes to seal the deal! The beautiful dinnerware, goblets, rug, and table adornments were from Something Borrowed, who rents out the most unique and stunning pieces for weddings and events. The final touch was a hand-lettered sign from Letters & Dust with our theme. Everything came together so perfectly for this and we couldn’t be happier with the turnout.

Check out the jaw-dropping photos below. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this incredible day. You are all rockstars!

Kerstin and Jason are two of the kindest and funniest people you’ll ever meet, and together they form a beautiful union of love and friendship. We were so honored to capture their big day held at Camp Namanu just outside of Sandy, Oregon. The wedding was filled with loving sentiments and details from their family. Kerstin’s gorgeous tea-length gown was hand made by her aunt. The camp itself is held dear to Kerstin, as she attended and was a counselor here. We even found her name in one of the A-frame cabins! The site was beautiful and surrounded by tall trees and classic cabins, which were so much fun to photograph.

After a tear-jerking first look, they had their ceremony in front of a display of quilt squares, all hand sewn by members of their family. Guests then enjoyed lawn games, dancing, and classic summer picnic food at tables adorned with memories from Kerstin and Jason’s long and loving relationship together.

It was such a fun and beautiful wedding to be a part of and we couldn’t be happier for these two. Thanks again for having us Kerstin and Jason!

Wow, this engagement shoot was amazing! We met Kelly and Brian at The Vista House on what was coincidentally the most beautiful day we’d had all year. They flew in from Wisconsin so we were all overjoyed and went on to have the best time during our shoot. These two had no issues being their true and silly selves in front of the camera. We laughed all the way through our hike down to Bridal Veil Falls, where we captured the most breathtaking images. They even agreed to climb onto a giant boulder above the river for the last few photos (and I think we can all agree it was worth it). Kelly and Brian, thank you again for having so much fun with us on your shoot! We couldn’t be more excited for your wedding this summer!
