Sunita and Harrison met at work, and as coworkers sometimes do, they became friends and started hanging out. What started out as a friendship slowly blossomed into something more and they fell in love. It wasn’t soon after they made it official that they realized the feelings they had for each other were unlike anything they had felt before; they were soulmates. They have been inseparable ever since.
This beautiful couple flew in from Dallas, Texas to have a fun-filled and romantic weekend in Portland. One of their planned excursions was a food tour that took them to some awesome local eateries, one of which happened to be our friends Enso Winery! (Something about this place just makes you want to propose.)
Harrison contacted A Lovely Day and told us that he was planning to pop the question to Sunita when they got there, and asked us to photograph it! He had a book made of the story of their relationship and that he gave to her when they sat down for their wine tasting. The last page of the book was a picture of him holding the ring, with the words “There is just one last step for this story, the Happily Ever After” and as she turned the page, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife!
Of course she said “yes!” and we were able to capture the teary-eyed moment forever. Enjoy!
Love is in the air, literally! When Erica and Josh suggested we do their engagement session at Aurora Airport, we thought the idea was fun and innovative. What we didn’t know is that Josh is a pilot and took Lindsay on a flight above Portland as part of their shoot! What! Feast your eyes on this charming couple’s set with breathtaking views. Oh, and if you want to check out more of Erica and Josh’s adventures, you can follow their Lego lookalikes at @legojunkies.
Thanks for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Erica and Josh! We can’t wait for your wedding!
Amanda met up with Maggie and Morgan on a typical gloomy Portland day, so we decided to rock it and go with an edgy vibe for their whole shoot! We were able to capture some beautiful moments between them as we ran along Mississippi Ave. hoping that the wind and fog wouldn’t turn to rain before we were through. Luckily this fun couple was up for anything and their love really shone through the gray that was that day.
How fun was Portland Bride and Groom‘s Rocked event this year?! The Nines hotel was filled with some of the most intricate gowns, decor, and florals that we’re ever seen. We also tasted some delicious food, and of course met some BEAUTIFUL couples. It was so nice to have met all of you!
We were lucky enough to photograph the event and we think Lindsay did so wonderfully. Check out some of the highlights below.
