A Lovely Day | Portland Oregon Wedding Photography »

Melanie and Brian dazzled our hearts last fall during their engagement shoot, so we really couldn’t wait for their summer wedding at Horning’s Hideout. The day was perfectly curated with pretty details and attributes to their love and relationship. Melanie wore a gorgeous gown by Claire Pettibone that she got at The English Dept. and vegan leather shoes from Beyond Skin. Her hair and makeup, done by the talented Kirstie Wight, noted hints of Spanish style to go along with the overall vibe of their wedding. Guests enjoyed flavorful vegan cuisine from Verde Cocina, and a vegan/gluten free cake from Petunia’s Pies and Pastries! Other notable details were the incredible floral arrangements by Brier and Ivy, and hand painted tiles from Mexico as their wedding favors!

The entire day was filled with laughs, tears, and a lot of love. We are so happy this amazing couple chose us to document their day! Congratulations again Melanie and Brian!

WOW! A Lovely Day Photography was nominated as a top four finalist for Best Wedding Photography Studio in Portland for Oregon Bride Magazine’s Best of Awards 2017! The awards ceremony is taking place this Thursday at The Nines Hotel! Of course we would be ecstatic if we won, but even just to receive this nomination is a huge honor and we are elated to be held among such prestigious vendors within the local wedding photography community. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for your votes. We absolutely would not be here without you!

Another successful workshop and styled shoot is a wrap! We went with an urban elegant vibe for this year, and was a wonderful collaboration of our team and some of our favorite local vendors. Jessica Hill, our creative director and owner, guided the team on posing ideas, a wedding timeline and a complete wedding day workflow from start to finish. We were honored to have beautiful contributions from Kirstie Wight Makeup Artist, Divine Designs Bridal Boutique, and Brenna Burnett Designs (check out that flower wall!). Lastly, the shoot would not have been complete without our lovely real couple, Megan and Kian, as our models. We captured all the details and moments of the day at the bright and beautiful Beast Daylight Studios in SE Portland. The mix of the simple and bright location, the colorful florals, and our flawless couple really made this a picture-perfect day and we are so excited to share the photos with you!

See the list below to view all of the creative and talented vendors that made this shoot possible.

Venue: Beast Daylight Studios | Florist: Brenna Burnett Designs | Bridal Gown: Ines Di Santo from Divine Designs Bridal Boutique | Hair/Makeup: Kirstie Wight

We love it when couples bring something that they cherish to their engagement session, Audrey and Heath’s just happened to be a living being! Their French Bulldog, Lola joined us as we walked around the Lower Macleay Trail at Forest Park. This adorable family was so fun to shoot and we got tons of laughs out of Lola’s snorts. Can’t wait for their wedding this upcoming September!PINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGE
