A Lovely Day | Portland Oregon Wedding Photography »

Emily and Chad’s wedding day was simply romantic. They met while Emily was studying nursing at Oregon State University, and even after the couple lived in New York (where they got engaged!), it felt right to come back home and have an Oregon fall wedding.

The event was held at the lush Mcmenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse, and the amazing Events by Lisa Marie made it a day to remember. With an elegant gown from Charlotte’s Weddings, a simple and rustic cake by On a Whim Studios, and the most breathtaking bouquet by Nancy’s Florals, no detail went overlooked.

The atmosphere was warm and full of love as family and friends gathered to witness this happy couple become husband and wife, Lindsay was honored to be able to capture every heartfelt moment.

There is only one word to describe Megan and James‘ wedding; Breathtaking. This couple was married at the Mt. Hood Ski Bowl, and had glorious Mt. Hood as the backdrop for their ceremony. This also happened to be the very location of their first date, (we heard it was an adventure)! Family and friends gathered for what was sure to have been the best day ever, it was so good that even Sasquatch himself crashed the party! The day was beautiful and emotional from beginning to end; from Megan and James’ teary first look, to their romantic and heart-felt vows, and all the way until their first dance. Megan and James, thank you for letting us share this day with you, and we wish you a lifetime of love.

We had the pleasure of photographing Kat and Rory’s simply beautiful September wedding. This happy couple was married on her family’s farm here in Oregon and included so many unique and personal details. From the traditional Scottish uniform worn by Kat’s father, to drinking from the “loving cup” during the reception, to having their four legged fur-baby dressed in pearls! And as if this day was special enough, it happened to be both Kat and Rory’s birthdays. Yep, the very same September 12th birthday. How awesome is that?! They celebrated by blowing out candles on a rainbow sprinkle cake. Congrats Kat and Rory! And thank you for having us as a part of this joyous celebration.

Amanda and Bradley’s wedding was picture-perfect and so much fun. The couple was married at the gorgeous property of Willow Lake Estates in Brush Prairie, Washington on a cloudy September afternoon, and followed with an remarkable reception. Between the ice cream cart and the sparkler send-off, their wedding was the event of the year. Lindsay had a fantastic day capturing the details that made this wedding so incredible, and we are honored to have been a part of it. Thanks Amanda and Brad for choosing A Lovely Day Photography to document your big day!
