Stephanie and Jay had an urban Portland wedding at two of our favorite wedding venues, The Old Church and The Sentinel Hotel! They had an intimate first look in the card room at The Sentinel Hotel. Afterward, they braved the wind and rain for some adorable portraits and we must say, it was worth it! Their ceremony at The Old Church was stunning, and so was their reception back at The Sentinel. The rich blue tones of the reception hall along with their chosen wedding colors made for a picturesque scene. Their family and friends enjoyed food from Jake’s Grill and a perfect three tiered cake from local bakery Papa Haydn. Everyone danced the night away to the beats of DJ Kyle Dobashi, a friend of the couple! Stephanie and Jay both shared that their favorite part of the day was seeing how all of their family and friends came together for their big day. We were so glad to be there, too! Congrats again Stephanie and Jay!
Wow. What a show. Oregon Bride Magazine is known for showcasing the best-of-the-best local wedding vendors and this evening was a perfect display of that! We saw so many immaculate and detailed displays, we couldn’t believe our eyes! From cakes, to florals, rentals, dresses, catering, and far, far beyond. It was so awesome to see all of the amazing options that are available to brides and grooms planning their big day.
Check out a few of the photos from the event below, featuring Dream Cakes, PDX Ice, White Pepper, Botanica, Something Borrowed, The White Dress, Anna’s Bridal, Wide Eyes Paper Co, Pure Space, Bella Blooms, and more!
Kiersten and Rich were our wedding giveaway winners from the Portland Bridal Show, and from the moment we met with them in our Portland studio we knew it was meant to be. These two are such a kind and deserving couple and their entire day was filled with emotion and beautiful details from their love story. We were so happy to be there to capture every moment! Their wedding took place at The Foundry at Oswego Pointe, on (what was supposed to be) a rainy October day. The rain cleared just in time for their first look and continued for their entire wedding! Their ceremony was held overlooking Lake Oswego, where their family and friends tearfully witnessed these two seal the deal with vows and rings. Guests also enjoyed a reception that included heartfelt toasts (the best man even sang a song and played the ukulele!), cake and donuts, and lots of dancing. Everyone gathered outside and made a tunnel of sparklers as these two ran out into the night. It was such an honor to be a part of this wedding and we are SO glad we got to meet Kiersten and Rich. Congrats again you two!
We met Kerstin and Jason at Rachel’s Ginger Beer on Hawthorne Blvd. for some icy Moscow Mules before heading up and down the street for some fun urban photos. We popped in and out of shops and restaurants, and posed against hand painted murals during their session. Most of their time was spent acting silly and being in love, and we really enjoyed capturing it on camera. We can’t wait for their wedding in March!
Holly and Jules engagement shoot took place on a really pretty day, so we took advantage of it and hiked around Lacamas Lake in Camas, WA. We climbed up and down rocks and into the riverbeds to get tons of gorgeous photos, and I think it was worth it! Their love for each other is so obvious and photographed beautifully. We can’t wait for their wedding next September! Congrats on your engagement Holly and Jules!
